Estate Mt. Washington
Painting at lush Estate Mt. Washington, with its gorgeous ruins and labyrinth, is always a treat! It's always fun to watch the reaction of first time visitors to the site as they experience image overload! Even someone like me, who's been there many times, is tempted to paint EVERYTHING in sight! We are so fortunate that owners Nancy and Tony Ayer have maintained the site's sense of history and tranquility and that they share it with us!

The Kumpitch's
Painting on the property of Peter and Joan Kumpitch was a unique experience for us! Originally part of an old colonial estate at Salt River, the grounds contain some striking ruins and a beautifully restored mill. We had the perfect plein air morning! The weather was marvelous, the subject choices innumerable, and, for most of us, it was all completely new! We had a ball!

Gentle Winds
It was a little windy...obviously there's a reason Gentle Winds Condos was so named! Our group of artists didn't let the wind bother them at all and spread out all over the property on Friday morning to paint contendedly. Our host, Peter, made us feel quite at home! Before we knew it, it was time to view our efforts. What a show of talent! Isn't it amazing how we can often paint the same scene as our neighbor and it comes out entirely different!? Afterwards, we enjoyed the offerings of the snack bar by the pool.
