What a great place to paint: the Ballard's on Beeston Hill! As you'll be able to tell from the photos, there were a variety of subjects and everyone had a great time trying to capture them with their paints. Laura was a great hostess, satisfying our sweet cravings with tiny danishes and sugar cookies.. and the morning just sped by. For me, it was a homecoming of sorts being my first day back with the Palletteers since my lumpectomy surgery in Florida. I spent the morning receiving many welcome hugs and good wishes and felt restored and "rejuvenated" by the time I left. We had a big group, a sure sign that our winter season has officially begun! Yay! The head count was 26, but we may have missed a few! We had a bounty of artwork to receive our "ooh's and ahh's" during show and tell. Information was given about our next two shows, the Palletteers @ Polly's show which opens February 4, and the Art in the Garden show, opening March 26. We are very fortunate that Alma Winkfield has volunteered to organize both shows for us.
