Botanical Gardens, August 3
"It’s been an exceptional year for the Flamboyant trees—they’re lush and rich in color—and the Botanical Garden has many of them, creating a stunning perimeter and a "must paint" background for the Garden's red-roofed Great Hall. The trees are not native--they’re from Madagascar—but they seem to love it here. We were afraid we’d have bad weather due to Tropical Storm Ernesto passing south of us, but he was far enough away to be no trouble at all and we had a beautiful clear day" ...Emy
