The Palletteers of St Croix is a fun-loving, open group of serious painters of all skill levels who meet weekly to share the beauty and challenge of painting plein air on the island of St. Croix. They have been featured exclusively in the following shows: Art in the Garden, Palletteers @ Polly's, Art @ Top Hat, Upstairs at the Comanche, and The Palletteers Paint St. Croix (at CMCA). Seastock paintings for the Jan. 26 event
The St. Croix Environmental Assn. (SEA) asked us to help decorate its big fundraiser that's to take place this Saturday, January 26th. The event will be a 1960s themed Woodstock-inspired party called SEAstock (their second; the first was a huge success) held at the Agricultural Department Fair Grounds tomorrow. They wanted large colorful decorations around the venue -- flowers, peace signs, pop art, paisleys, smiley faces, etc. etc., painted on recycled cardboard (like from appliance boxes) or created from other reused materials.
So, a few weeks ago we got together and had a great time painting for their event:
