In July we painted at two private homes, Canes Bay Beach and Tamarine Reef. Overall a slow month with more swimming than painting.... We continue to be an open group of plein en artists who paint some place different every Friday morning. Anyone is encouraged to join us.

This month of June fines us with few paintings to post. Most of our group have left the island to summer elsewhere. We did however, continue to paint every Friday visiting Salt River National Park; Talipan; Altoona Lagoon and Breezes. HOWEVER, in order to fill this space let me share with you some recent tips I gained from reading about Money….. Stance and orientation: When painting outdoors (or with any subject, for that matter) it is often recommended that you put your subject as close to your line of sight as possible. This reduces the amount of head turning necessary. Clean Color: Monet used four brushes about the same size loaded with different colors.
