By luck I missed the bullet and was able to fly out of St. Croix prior to the hurricanes.   My house fortunately had little damage and is currently being repaired.   However, I am not eager to return to the rock to operate a generator.   I am waiting for the electricity to be restored so in the meantime I have joined Gold Coast Watercolor society and paint en plein air every Wednesday as well as taking some art classes. 

                                This telephone pole was painted as a reminder to my friends on the rock what they used to look like.                            Thinking all the poles and electricity may be restored maybe by the first of the year.
