Palletteers enter Six X 6 Show in Mt. Vernon, Ohio

The Six X 6 Exhibit is being held at the Red Z Gallery in Mt. Vernon, Ohio from August 3-31, 2012. Entries were solicited nationally. To enter, the original artwork had to be 6"x6", unframed, but mounted if needed and have a hanging mechanism on the back. All mediums were accepted except glass, tile and ceramics. The show was organized by Robin Willow Elements (Wila Fink and Stephanie McKee). Afeter hearing about the show, I sent out an email to all the Palletteers and posted on the St. Croix Artists page in FaceBook, urging everyone to participate so that St. Croix would have a good showing. It's a small thing, but with St. Croix's economy taking such a blow due to Hovensa's closing, we thought this was one way of helping St. Croix tourism. It was also fun to participate in a national show.. and hold our own in it!

St. Croix had a great showing: Jane Aikin (1+2), Ginger Anderson (3+4), Laura Ballard (5+6), Elizabeth Keith (18, 19, 20,+ 21), Leslie Rickenbach (28+29), and Casey Willard (35) all sent artwork for the show! The viewers voted and Casey's artwork took second place!
